The region is known worldwide as a specialist in wet hydraulic engineering, delta technology and infrastructure construction. Our contractors make an important contribution to the energy transition, infrastructure and water safety worldwide. Think of offshore wind, building with nature and the largest sea and riverlock complexes in the world.

Leading companies are: Boskalis, Van den Herik, Boer, Van de Grijp, Van Beest, Spie, IV-Group, Visser Smit Hanab, Croon Wolter Dros, Heijmans, Besix, Verkerk Groep, Volker Stevin Materieel and Merford. This cluster is located mainly on the North-East side of the Drecht Cities in the municipalities of Sliedrecht and Papendrecht.
